The heart of training is our Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program (JATC), a regimented training program that assures competency in the standardized skills needed to be an electrician.

Classroom Training -

Related classroom instruction consists of a minimum of 900 hours of classroom training over a 5-year period. Classes are held at 142 Corporate Drive, usually one night a week from Sept – June, but varies occasionally.

It’s a 5 year program with a minimum of 180 hours a year, and paid on-the-job training with a signatory contractor. Upon completion, you'll have invested 8,000 hrs over the 5 year period as an apprentice. It is through this instruction that you'll learn the theory of the electrical trade.

Lessons include: history and structure of the IBEW and NECA, first aid, safety, CPR, tools and material, AC-DC theory, fire alarm, motors and control, programmable logic controllers, conduit bending, process control, blueprint reading and much more.
