We are the Plumbers, Fitters, Welders and Service Technicians Local Union for the Nashville Tennessee area. Our members receive the highest level of training in our industry. They work on projects of all sizes and scope. From a residential house to a nuclear power plant.
UA Local Union 572 was chartered on November 18, 1915 by the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sprinkler Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada. Our Local was established to help our members by providing safe working conditions, training, health insurance, and several other benefits.
We are over 1,600 members strong and growing. We work hard to make sure our members are the best trained in the industry and are always looking for new members to join our Local.
UA Local Union 572 is one of the most versatile Union Local’s in the Nation. Our members who work for our signatory contractors use their skills on all types of projects in our area. Projects include General Motors Plant, Tennessee Valley Authority, Nissan Motors Plant, Nissan Stadium (home of Tennessee Titians), and Nashville Soccer Stadium to name a few. We have done this for over 100 years and look forward to the next 100.

Requirements
Qualifications and Documentation
You must be 18 years old
You must have your own mode of transportation
Provide a Social Security Card
Provide a Valid Driver’s License or State Issued ID
Provide a Copy of Birth Certificate
If Veteran, provide a copy of DD214
You must provide a high school diploma with official transcripts or a State Accredited G.E.D. certificate and provide the official test scores.
For applicants that have graduated from college, your college Diploma and Transcripts will be accepted in lieu of high school transcripts.
**There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee required for all applications, payable at time of
application. Funds are payable by cash, credit card or money order.
