Daniel Gonzalez

A dedicated educator, musician, and U.S. Army combat veteran with over three decades of experience in performance, teaching, and service. Since 1991, I have built a diverse career spanning military service, public education, and professional music performance. As a special educator in the New York City public school system, I supported diverse learners through inclusive and creative teaching approaches. Parallel to my teaching career, I performed extensively as a professional jazz musician throughout the New York City area. Following my military deployment in 2005, I relocated to Pennsylvania, where I continued to balance education and performance before transitioning to full-time musicianship. After the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-founded Percussion Playhouse, a growing business dedicated to music education, performance, and community engagement. I bring to every endeavor a commitment to discipline, creativity, and lifelong learning.
