Ironworkers Local 392 East Saint Louis, IL

The Iron Workers Local 392 Apprenticeship Program should take approximately four years to complete and consists of on the job training hours as well as classroom and shop hours. The training focuses on all aspects of commercial steel construction, structural steel erection, reinforcing steel installation, architectural and ornamental construction, precast concrete erection, pre-engineered metal building and welding. There is no cost for the training however, the apprentice will not be paid on school days. After an applicant has been accepted into the Apprenticeship, they will attend classes two weeks in the spring and two weeks in the fall. Apprentices will work in the field when they are not attending school. Once all class requirements have been met, Journeyman status will be awarded.

3. Copy of Birth Certificate


4. Copy of Valid Driver's License


5. Copy of Social SecurityCard


6. Copy of High School or GED Diploma along with grade transcripts showing grades and attendance (We realize one or both may take a week or more to get. Just get them as soon as you can.)


7. If you are a vertran, please include a copy of your DD-214 to recieve credit for your Vetran status. 


 


Applications that do not contain all of the required documentation will not be considered for apprenticeship. 
 



Requirements

Applications can also be picked up at the Apprentice Training Center on the first working day of each month from: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.


Applicants must present themselves to sign in and pay the $20.00 cash application fee.


The completed package will be due at the Applicant Test.
